the domes are incredible. it feels like you're in the desert, in space.

it felt good to see green and feel warm air again. please come soon spring. we miss you.

in an hour and a half i get to drive to the airport and pick carson up. it's been four days and i'm ready to have him back.

a birthday getaway // 2010

our first trip to chicago together - it was 2010 and it was almost exactly three years ago.
still feels just as romantic and cold and wonderful as it did back then, looking through these now.

how is the new year feeling? i feel lucky, my birthday is at the beginning half of january so i truly consider that day my jumping off point. the first until the 12th is my warm up. i need it, that's for certain.

carson begins his new job tomorrow and he's having those new job feelings. i'm going to be sending lots of love his way all monday long. you know, the way you do when you're in love and you can calm someone even miles away.

enough gush. how about that video? it's pretty and as perfect as a rainy car ride should be.

i love new years. it might be tied with halloween as my favorite holiday... and thanksgiving. 4th of july is fun too.

anyway. a new start. yes. we all need that.

i spent the night with a small group of close friends dancing and kissing their dog. i didn't expect to see carson until after midnight due to it being his last night at the restaurant, but he walked in 11:55 - he's that good.

2013 should be full of surprises. i hope this finds you full with hope for the year to come.

we've survived the blizzard. we survived the end of the world.

we survived with burritos, gift making, "rescue me" on netflix, twiskeys (tea and whiskey) and love.

five years. i don't know what else to say besides i'm blessed and in love and give thanks for him every day.

this year has been incredibly full, with changes and plans and more changes. we have hit a new level of... well, awesome-ness. : )

4. from melissa's wedding.
