[artist/opening] monica canilao // what's lost is safe

i could have photographed monica canilao's artwork for hours and sky high gallery is a quaint
space resting in an amazing skate shop in milwaukee.
what she created and built in the room feels like it flows on forever and ever;
like you've entered narnia or space mountain or an elaborate ispy book. pure magic my friends.
i hope you'll look into her. you'll be changed.
oh and that pretty young thang up in the first photo is my beautiful sister, samantha faith.
go be inspired now.

when you're a birr

a couple weekends ago, my sister picked me up and the two of us (along with our bikes) drove
over to milwaukee to hang out with our one and only brother.
it was such a blast. good eats at alterra, classic slice and comet cafe.
lots of bike riding and music playing.
lots of bike riding and music playing.
lots of laughing.
we also went to sky high gallery, but i'll post more on that adventure soon.

my beautiful mother turned the big 5-0 this week. we celebrated in madison and milwaukee and it was just so great to be together for a few hours. we ate good food. saw a hail storm. walked around the museum. all together. click for more.
