to your place in the cloud

yesterday was day one of my newest project - fixing up an old, broken cello with kori.
i spent most of the first night cleaning it and removing old glue. it's pretty exciting, the cello is one of my favorite instruments and i've always wanted to learn how to repair instruments. ellie and kori can fix anything, so i know i'm in good hands.

to top it all off it finally rained, not just little drops of water but a full on storm! the bike ride home was perfect, i love rain wet hair. plus the puddles! oh how i love puddles!

[a look inside] where you lay your head

i'm sure you've spent an afternoon, or many, wandering through the homes on the photography site, the selby. i love this sort of photo story telling - to see creative people in their homes and studios is an adventure to say the least.
so, being selby inspired, i spent some time last weekend snapping photos of my own home, the anna lee. we'll call this part one, since this is all about the outside grounds of my home.

my home, the anna lee, has evolved into something truly remarkable.
we currently hold house concerts and art events in our living rooms. (next month the whole house will shut down for a documentary and art exhibit, more on that soon)

i am honored to call this place home and the people that live there with me, family.
to read more about the anna lee and projects we have going on you can visit the links below.
we'd love to have you.

happy inside look thursday,
stephanie

ps oh and if anyone would like to book me for a photo session of their home or studio,
i'd love that. that'd be a blast.

[inspiration] documentaries

next week i'll begin filming for a short film csn is putting together about adults with disabilities
working in the madison area. my mission is to shoot around 10 hours of footage, that will be
paired back to 3, then edited to 20 minutes. (yikes!)

this past week i've been soaking in documentaries and i came across a few the scout put
together. the film above is of the mast brothers - they are the imaginative brotherhood
behind mast brothers chocolate.

i love the beauty and humor put into these little films. it looks like 20 minutes is plenty of time.
