i'm still glad it's hot and sticky and miserable out. i don't want the summer to end yet. those banged up knees belong to my girl bri. remember to wear your bike helmets, friends.

lonely but i don't mind

i spent a day walking around the arboretum last week. it can be a lonely feeling in there but it's strangely comforting at the same time.

signs of spring

last sunday i was able to catch the boys playing music on the porch.
it was heart warming to know we could sit out there and feel the sun.
other signs of spring coming:
+first farmers market this weekend
+i used a yellow umbrella today
+tulips in the front yard
+sarah palin protesting outside the capitol this weekend. no, not that one. but how bizarre, right?
