recording our songs

carson and i play with a seven piece band called CROAKER here in madison. we've been asked for a "copy of our cd" for a long time now and have never had one. somehow, magically, we were able to be focused enough for 10 hours of song making over the weekend. (if it sounds good, it's because mike at AUDIO FOR THE ARTS is a master.)

i'll be excited to share it with you once we're done.

brew fest

year two of playing at the GREAT TASTE OF THE MIDWEST. this time started the same as last, carson and i piled in the back of ellie's truck with our drums and amps, riding through downtown like a college student's futon.

again, there was lots of tasty beer. lots of happy people.
lots of headaches the next morning, i'm sure.

my favorites were lake louie (of course) and dark horse. however, i had a lot of good IPAs that day. 

home field advantage

i can't believe all the live music that's been in my life lately. THE ANNA LEE has had two amazing nights of music with SHILOH (by way of chicago) and portland gents WALTER MITTY AND HIS MAKESHIFT ORCHESTRA.

i can't believe i get to help these nights happen. connecting a madison band to other musicians, and friends to a night of beer and cheap entertainment. we usually end up around the fire, sharing stories, smokes and drinks.

the last set of photos are from CROAKER's last show at the high noon, which seems like forever ago. we'll be back in the swing of things this month, though.
